    svar: Yes, it is suitable for deadbait fishing for pike and zander, as well as for species like barbel and chub on the river.

    svar: The reel is available in 5500/6500 sizes with a 5.1:1 gear ratio.

    svar: My reels were supplied with 10lb breaking strain line (0.30mm thickness).

    svar: Same model reel but 2 different sizes. On one of the pictures the handle is masking the bait runner lever.

    svar: Yes there are spare reels for the avocet reel but they sometimes come with a spare reel but the spare is not loaded.

    svar: Unscrew the pin on the other side, the more you unscrew it the further the handle will fold down towards the bail arm but beware the pin stays loose. Don't forget to tighten it up again when you go fishing next. Good luck with your fishing.

    svar: I have a selection of Avocet reels and all the spools fit each model so I would assume it's a one size fits all system.

    svar: You can use it as a bait runner it saved my rod going in the water a few times.
