- A working cipher machine, not a replica: Encode and decode secret messages by hand on a wooden machine inspired by historic rotor ciphers. It is our own design, not a copy of the WWII Enigma, so you run a real cipher yourself.
- How it works: Set three interchangeable geared wheels in your chosen order with a three-letter keyword, then turn the Output Wheel to encode and decode letter by letter. Change the key mid-message for extra security.
- Solid wood, laser-engraved: Gears cut from quarter-inch wood with deeply laser-engraved letters, turning on alloy steel pins for a smooth action. The Small measures about 9.4 by 3.2 by 1 inches, with gears about 2.7 inches across.
- Everything you need in the box: The wooden Enigma base, three gears, an instruction sheet, two worksheets, and three secret messages to decode. It plays the moment you unwrap it, no extras to buy.
