Calculus Editorial Review
The "Complex Variables: Second Edition" book from Dover Books on Mathematics has received mixed reviews from customers. Many users have found the language and grammar to be difficult to follow, with examples provided throughout the book being inadequate and lacking in explanation. The frequent use of "the proof is left as an exercise" for important theorems and special cases has frustrated readers, hindering their ability to build intuition. Additionally, typos, misplaced notation, and confusing symbols and variables have added to the challenges of understanding the content. However, some customers have appreciated that the book contains all the necessary information, making it a good resource for an introductory Complex Variables course. The affordable price point has also been highlighted as a positive aspect of the book. In summary, while the "Complex Variables: Second Edition" book may be a suitable resource for a structured class environment, it falls short for self-study purposes due to its lack of thorough explanations and challenging language. **
