The Ridgid 86917 is a two-piece interlocking wrench set that is perfect for plumbing work. One wrench is a basic 12-point 1/2 inch wrench, while the other is a combination wrench with 9/16 inch and 15/16 inch square wrenches. The two wrenches are screwed together, making it one foot long. It can also be separated into two pieces, with one being 1-foot long and the other being 8 inches long. The wrenches seat inside the handle of the longer wrench. The wrench is flat, which allows for complete tightening and loosening of nuts. However, it can be challenging to use in tight spaces. Customers found the Ridgid 86917 to be an excellent purchase, far better than fumbling with channel locks, and it makes jobs much easier. However, some found it somewhat challenging to loosen up the supply line nuts, especially when doing toilet bolts. Additionally, the two pieces fly when nested, which can cause damage if it comes into contact with fragile surfaces. The handle should have a secure mechanism to keep the tool together when stored.
